Nice action with an interesting plot

Vantage point portrays a single event from the viewpoint of several different people. This kind of flashback -moviemaking can be effective at times and it can be used to make a pretty simple storyline seem complicated by revealing small bits at a time. Sometimes it's plainly unnecessary and dull.

Shawshank redemption is a marvellous depiction of hope in the midst of adversity. Red (Freeman) and Andy (Robbins) are two men with different life experience who are sharing the same destiny of serving a life sentence in prison. The movie tells a beautiful story about finding hope and strength to carry on regardless of the circumstance. The film has a great plot, masterful acting and a powerful message. Nearly a perfect combination.. A true classic.

Unexpectedly good horror

I consider it extremely rare to find a decent horror film nowadays, but sometimes you can be surprised.

"The Mist" tells a pretty straight forward horror story of unspeakable creatures attacking a group of people, but there is also an underlying message of the tendencies of the natural man. An interesting depiction of a group of people who face the unknown and the unexplainable - and their reaction to it.
