I didn't know exactly what to expect when I popped in this DVD. I was pleasantly surprised.

Superstar had far more heart in it than I expected for a low-budget SNL skit.

watched Blu-Ray on my new 42" TV. This is more just a DVD movie upscaled to be on a Blu-Ray, not mastered to be a Blu-Ray movie. But I did appreciate the movie more this time, maybe because I was reading email while it was on.

I really wanted this to be better. It was okay, but I'm glad I only spent $5 (early matinee). It won't enter my collection.

This was not what I expected. I thought something mystical would be involved. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not, but that it was a pretty straightforward movie. Beautiful scenery, interesting characters, horrible conditions.
finally, back to a Netflix movie after weeks of not watching.

Parts of this movie were very hard to watch. The basic story follows the life of a boy forced into being a shepherd as he grows up, denied any education. This is an autobiographical movie of an Italian writer named Gavino Ledda. Watching this makes me feel very blessed for my upbringing and freedom.

Today was the first time I had seen Avatar. I was totally blown away. This is a stunningly-presented movie. Thoroughly enjoyable

This was a creepy movie, no doubt about it. Superb performance from DiCaprio, Kingsley, & Michelle Williams. Your head most likely hurt by the time the movie is over (in a good way). The ending is a love-hate one.
