thoroughly enjoyable; really liked portrayal of Watson. Downey totally disappeared.
lots of fun, then Beck's, then Spec's, and then the drama with Karina

I was told this was funnier than Napoleon Dynamite. I wholeheartedly disagree. This movie had funny parts, but overall I did not find it funny.
stayed up way too late to watch this.

Monty Python did it better in The Meaning of Life. This was four or five vignettes on different aspects of sex. I guess it was daring for its time, but today, it just kind of sat there and tried too hard to bring laughs. Allen does better. I must admit, though, that Tony Randall was a blast (no pun intended) in the last segment.
home ill. fun.

This is an early Cary Grant movie (my personal favorite male actor of old) about a small foreign country needing a loan to provide for its citizens. The king and a notorious banker concoct a plan to do a press tour in the U.S. to help raise awareness and approval for the loan (back when the U.S. didn't just hand out money to everybody). They decide the king's daughter should be the face. Ultimately, the banker must find a lookalike for the princess. A fun movie to be sure, and definitely recommended.

This is a charming movie about a hobo (yeah, I said it) "borrowing" a seasonally-abandoned mansion. Lots of fun, and plenty of human spirit to boot.

Cary Grant plays a plastic surgeon. This seems like a simple love dodecahedron, full of entanglements and unrequited notices. Very witty.

This is a cute movie with indie darling Illeana Douglas. Basically, three women;friends decide to go to Vegas and get married for the weekend and then get divorced/annulled right afterwards to remove the stigma of nearing 30 and not being married (oh, the horror). Fun to watch, I suppose, and it didn't appear to fall into every cliche.

Based on a true story, this movie follows Edna Gladney through courtship, wedding, birth, and fight to have the word "illegitimate" removed from childrens' birth certificates when the father is unknown.

reminds me of LA Confidential, but not as hard-boiled. Val Kilmer killed me.

I suppose there might have been a bit to dislike, but I had fun with this movie. The story was pretty good: a reluctant vampire searches for a blood substitute to replace the dwindling "live" human blood supply, and then stumbles on what might be a cure. I find there to be a whole lot more to like. I believe I will definitely buy this.
