This movie is high adrenaline and not for the faint of heart. Also, if you're easily offended, maybe this isn't the movie for you. What would you do if you decided to wear some kind of costume and go around helping people like you're some kind of Superman or Batman, and it's not just Halloween? Welcome to the world of Kick-Ass.
This was an invitation-only screening.

What a compelling movie! Follow a group of Jewish GIs in WWII as they hunt "Natzis" and ultimately the "Jew Hunter". See the plans to assassinate Hitler on the big screen. This is tied in my mind with Pulp Fiction for best Tarantino film.

This is an odd little movie from the Coen brothers, but I suppose that goes without saying. It follows the life of one Jewish man as he faces various trials and tribulations.

This is an excellent heist movie. De Niro and Norton are excellent. I love heist movies, and this is one of the better ones, full of double cross, great planning, etc.
Steve from work (I'm sure you know him) loaned me this disc. I thought I had seen it before, but the ending -- what I mainly remembered -- is completely different. But notes of Angela Bassett and Brian are very familiar.

Super Troopers is all kinds funny in all kinds of inappropriate ways. This movie in no way represents any reality.

I'm gonna have to watch this movie again. I t was well done, but I'm not sure I like the ending, or that it fit.

very nice exploration of the hunt for the source of the Nile. When faced with massive difficulties and setbacks, Sir Richard Burton presses on, as does his companion, John Speke, though they have different methods.

I missed the end of this, so not sure exactly how it ended. The movie was kind of sweet, but it had a nasty undertone to it, too.

This is a very cute movie, very typical of 60's comedies. Basic story: son wants to accompany girlfriend on trip to Euroope. Mom: NO! Dad: SURE! Dad winds up going as trip photographer. Mom arranges to stay in villa. Hilarity, jealousy, a bus trip, jail time, and a brothel ensues. Good stuff!

watched the first hour and couldn't watch any more (too nerve-wracking). Had also had the movie for 6 months from Netflix and had to return.

Tetsuo, long the underdog of his friends, suddenly develops powers in Neo-Tokyo. These powers are related to the detonation (or something) of Akira that destroyed Tokyo to begin with. Corruption and chaos abound.
This is my fifth or sixth time to watch this movie. Seeing it blu-ray for the first time is like watching the movie for the first time. I'm sure the 42" screen doesn't hurt, either. The studio did an outstanding job updating this to blu-ray quality. No jaggies, pristine colors, etc. If you're new to anime, this is a must see.

"what we've got here is... failure to communicate." Great movie; great character study. Highly recommended
nothing like being home sick to watch a bunch of movies.

mediocre at best.

I only made it through 17:40 before the total nonsensicalness of this movie forced me to turn it off. Avoid at all costs.
