A Little Magic Here And There...

I sat down in front of the TV tonight, and Bewitched was just about to start, so I decided to stick with it - which in hindsight was the right thing to do!

Isabel has moved out to California - the place to be. She's there to start a new life, get new experiences and leave behind her old one. It's all so normal, nothing out of the ordinary - except for the fact that Isabel is a witch.
As she's trying to give up her life of magic and having a hard time doing everything the hard way - the easy way being a snap of your fingers - she finds herself needing a job, and dreaming about an ordinary guy with the usual human flaws, something that she obviously is yet to experience herself.
Enter Jack Wyatt, an actor who's not on the very peak of his career and is searching for a new chance for a place in the limelight by starring in a remake of the 1960's sitcom "Bewitched". Now, when the two of them get together and Jack decides that Isabel is the one to play opposite him, you've got a lovely mess cooking.

This is not the best romantic comedy out there, and not something I would watch when I want something thrilling and exciting, but after a long day, this was a great movie to relax to! Will Ferrell was never my favorite actor - neither was Nicole Kidman though, but the latter fit the role she was assigned to very well. The plot wasn't anything special, but since there were no real expectations, I didn't mind. The clever magic scenes were funny to watch and some parts were worth a good laugh. All in all, the movie isn't really for the demanding viewers, but more of a nice thing to relax with - if you want a quality romantic comedy, Love Actually is your movie.

Good Mood

A film by Nora Ephron (Sleepless In Seattle, You've Got Mail)

The movie is really about what the title says, Bewitched.

Putting Nicole Kidman in the same movie with Will Ferrell was a very risky move, but I have to say I enjoyed watching it. If Will Ferrell-humor works for you this is a good movie, but if not, the story gets really boring in 30 minutes.

I never saw the real Bewitched tv-show, but I still understood everything the movie told me about it and it wasn't hard to follow at all. Like I said, I enjoyed watching it but I've definately seen better Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman plays a very annoying silly girl in my opinion.

I had a good laugh and if you're looking for something light to watch, this is it.
