P.S. I Love You
I didn't really expect anything really from this movie. I still wanted to watch it, but thought that it would be pretty much the average romantic comedie. However, I was surprised to find out that this was actually a pretty good one. Although the story is kinda sad, it'll still make you laugh more than cry. The acting is great and the casting is good. It's very easy to like this one.

P.S. I Love You
I'm not a huge fan of rom coms, but this one I watched because it seemed appropriate for the company I had over. It's an intriguing movie, I mean it's nothing new really about in this worn out genre that rarely produces big flabbing failures or genuine gems. This one is kind of moving in it's own way. HIlary Swank plays th woman who loses her man (played by Gerald Butler) and receives letters from him with instuctions what to do and where to go. This leads to a journey of getting the lost love and becoming.
It is sad of course, watching Hilary Swanks character Holly try to cope with her loss and her sadness and then slowly, almost without noticing, starts to enjoy life again and opens up a new possibility in the form of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (most famous for dying on Grey's Anatomy lol). It's a decent movie.

One Of The Better Romantic Ones
A friend had already praised this film for being a very good one, so when I sat down at the theatre, I had some expectations for P.S. I Love You. Were they met? Read on to find out.
Holly is married to Gerry, a handsome irish lad, and they live in a small apartment filled with dreams. Both of them have plans for the future, and even though there might be an occasional moment of dissatisfaction with the current situation, they couldn't be happier with each other. Everythings is beautiful, until life brings an unexpected surprise; Gerry's brain tumor and untimely passing. Holly is devastated, and closes up, trying to cope with Gerry's death. Little does she know that his loving husband has something prepared for her, to help her through it all: letters, that will be delivered to her on specific days and ways. Letters, that each have a familiar ending...
I'll have to start out with the fact that Gerard Butler, even despite his death early in the movie, pulls off a magnificent performance in this movie. He was great in 300, and continues to impress with versatile performances. Hillary Swank is also very good, showing some real emotion as Holly. The general feel of the movie was well transmitted to the viewer, and I'm pretty sure that even though I didn't see a thing in the dark theater, there were a lot of girls crying - yep, this is one of those movies.
I've never really been a fan of sad movies, albeit this one doesn't perfectly fit in that category. The ones with one of the leads dying never appealed to me that much. But I'll give this film credit for being one of the few good romantic ones out there. P.S. I Love You gives you laughs, entertains and moves you, and impresses with the quality acting, beautiful visuals (check out the depiction of Ireland, now I really want to visit Ireland too!) and a great story. Guys, take your girls to see this one - even if you might not be into romantic movies. She'll like you for it.

P.S. I Love You
A very well thought, well acted and directed movie. Once I caught on to what the movie was all about, it didn't really seem like I had just sat through a 126 minute movie. Gerard Butler was great, certainly a different role than King Leonidas, and Hillary Swank is at her brilliant best. Fun, entertaining, good watch. By the way make sure you have those tissues ready!
