Waste of time
I had a small "What the?" moment when I saw In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. How come I had never even heard of this one before? There's a very good reason for that: This movie sucks!
The storyline has a very basic initialization which we all have seen far too many times before. A farmer (Jason Statham) loses his son when Krugs, a race of animal-warriors, attacks a small village. The farmer can't get there on time to protect his beloved son. And of course the Krugs kidnapped the farmers wife so the farmer has something to do in this extremely bland movie which is full of clichés. So the farmer starts a journey to save his wife...
First of all why oh why would they give this kind of a role to Jason Statham? He isn't convincing at all and he isn't the only one. The acting's overall worse than mediocre. Just makes you wonder why this movie was ever made. Even the somewhat beautiful Claire Forlani can't save anything. I can't find anything positive to say about this.
All in all this movie is a complete failure and with the runtime of over two hours this is just waste of everyones precious time.
