Nicolas Cage is one of those magnificent actors who makes a movie watchable even when it's not. The Wicker Man is one of those movies. I happened to rent this one just because I found out that Cage was in it.
Cage's character is a sheriff who starts to investigate a very odd disappearance of a young girl from a small island. When he gets further on his investigation he discovers that there's a larger mystery to solve among the island's community.
The Wicker Man is an intense horror/thriller movie that gets weirder and weirder as the movie goes on. After the movie ended I had a tiny little "what the?!" -moment and I don't like those. I must say that I'm not fan of a horror, but still this one was a freakshow.
