More Wrinkles Than I Remember
Sometimes, it's funny when you go back and watch films that you regarded very highly. Batman Begins was a movie I was a huge fan of when I first viewed. However, after my most recent rewatch, it definitely falls a few notches. Don't get me wrong, there are some genuinely cool parts here, but there are some that are just plain dumb. Nolan gets the first film of his trilogy out and sets the table for his second and third vastly superior outings.

Amazing begining
A superhero movie, yes. But ultimately a redefining of the term "superhero". A beautiful melancholy retelling of the inception of a legend. Deep storyline and character development take precedent over explosions and gunfights... Which come in profusion in the next installment.
