Best part of the movie: ending theme!
I remember clearly the day when me and my friend Teemu walked to Plevna. We saw a trailer which looked quite good - yes, the trailer looked quite good. so we bought tickets and went to watch Night Watch.
First of all, the trailer gave a very different view of the movie. I thought that Night Watch was cool action movie with some fantasy - Oh boy was I wrong. The fact that Night Watch was a russian production and it was spoken in russian caught me completely by surprise. Not that I have anything against Russia or russians. It just caught me by surprise. I also don't think that I have ever seen as boring movie as Night Watch. A few laughs here and there wouldn't have hurt, but it was only a nice picture in my mind. The movie's dead serious! I can't help thinking that I really paid to see Night Watch in a theater. The only good thing that I can think of is the ending theme! It was also the only part when I laughed and I laughed hard. I don't know if it was that the movie is so bad that it's almost amusing.
Anyway Night Watch is a movie that I do not, I repeat I do not recommend to anyone. If you have any self-protection at all you will find something else and better to watch. Almost anything will do, but this is only my opinion. I won't stop you if you choose Night Watch. I will only say: told you so!
