A priest discovers an ancient canister containing a strange liquid in an abandoned church. When a group of graduate students and scientists are tasked with studying it, they unknowingly unleash an evil force waiting to destroy all of humanity.

Dr. Loomis and crew may have stumbled onto a portal to Hell. Will Egg Shen and Wang Yu be able to save the day again? Where is Jack Burton? Oh wait, that's a different John Carpenter movie with the same actors. But nevertheless, this was my first time seeing this and I was pretty impressed at some of the scenes Carpenter had in here. Some genuinely creepy moments with unfortunately a lot of 80s cheese mixed in. If you put The Thing and Halloween on one end of a spectrum and Ghosts of Mars and Vampires on the other end, Prince of Darkness would be slightly more on the side of the former. And that's enough for a good watch.
