This is right up there with the strangest movies I have ever seen. I may have been able to enjoy it more if the ending had not been spoiled for me already. Even so, the bizarreness of it all makes it worth a watch. A detective from mainland England journeys to an isolated island village to investigate the disappearance of a girl. This sounds pretty straightforward but the presence of trippy musical numbers that basically flow non-stop through the first half keep you wondering just what the hell is going on at times. And I haven’t started talking about the village’s penchant for mass orgies and consistent nudity yet. What a weird movie.
