I personally think the imagined land of Illyria could not reflect Europe at all. To beging with, everything they tried to portray as ”European” could not have been farther from the truth! For starters, everyhing looked super all time American and the chances of Illyria being an English speaking coutry is rather slim. Europe has more conservative looking buildings and I doubt the landscape includes as much sky scrapers as this did. The style of street views, signs etc. are not European. The plot was not very clever in my opinion. A lot of riddiculous nonsense of super powers on second borns...
