Review from the comment
You remember the over the top 80's action flicks where both the hero and the villain were unstoppable killing machines? Deliver Us From Evil plays like that, but can't capture the magic of some of the better entries from that era. It has some great adrenaline paced scenes, there is no question about that. Even the plot of a retiring hitman brought back into the life after learning he has a kidnapped daughter he never knew about is one we can grab onto.
But there is just too much going on with plausibility and cliches for this to really shine. It's too bad too because Jung-min Hwang and Jung-jae Lee (as good guy and bad guy respectively) carried their parts very well.
