It Had a Chance
In Queen & Slim, two opposites on their first date end up on the lam after a traffic stop goes completely wrong. I understand the message the film was trying to convey. Social injustice is a massive problem in the U.S. However, i just found myself scratching the noggin at times on the journey. Why is this happening? Would you REALLY do that? I found myself not being able to overcome some of those points in Queen and Slim. That keeps the film from being more important than it ended up being. The ride was still good enough.
