A fantastic achievement in acting. Alfre Woodard is simply magnificent as a burnt out death row warden who inches closer to the edge after an execution goes awry. With the guilt of her next prisoner scheduled to be put to death in question, Woodard begins to unravel even more.
Aldis Hodge is also excellent as the aforementioned prisoner awaiting his moment with the needle. His character is not one for many words or even quiet wisdom. Instead he is scared, and emotional. The two performances make for a very poignant study on the human spirit in an extremely tense setting. Highly recommend.
