In post-industrial Ohio, a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant, hiring two thousand blue-collar Americans. Early days of hope and optimism give way to setbacks as high-tech China clashes with working-class America.

Very Memorable
American Factory was the 2020 Oscar Winner for Best Documentary. It is a really intriguing look at what happens when a Chinese billionaire buys an abandoned General Motors factory and gives 2,000 Americans jobs. In the beginning morale is sky high with both the Americans and the Chinese workers that come together. Eventually, the culture clash threatens the harmony. This is one of the better docs I have seen in a while and should be viewed by all.
