Recognizable Names Doesn't Equal Quality
I'll just say it. I was completely underwhelmed with Widows. This was Steve McQueen's follow up to 12 Years as a Slave? I'm not sure what happened, but I was not impressed. He's lucky that Daniel Kaluuya stole every scene he was in or the film would have been much worse. I also liked Cynthia Erivo here, although she doesn't get enough screen time. Carrie Coon is totally wasted. Hopefully, she got a decent check and enjoyed the craft services.
