Will (Logan Marshall-Green) and his new girlfriend are invited to dinner at his old home by his ex-wife, Eden (Tammy Blanchard) and new husband. The dinner invitation seems innocent enough, many of their old friends are there to join the fun. However, as the night progresses, Will can't help but think that Eden, David and a few of their new circle have ulterior motives. Is he losing his mind?
The Invitation is one of those films that the less you know about it, the better. I will just leave it at that. It's a slow burn, with a really intriguing first 3/4 and a so-so 1/4 final. The Invitation is a capable and worthy independent thriller.
