I started The Intern with really no intentions of paying it any mind. However, it actually grabbed a hold of me and I found the film to be charming, for the most part.
Ben (DeNiro) plays a man who becomes a senior intern for Jules (Hathaway), a tough online business owner. After being quite frosty to him, Jules and Ben form a great friendship and eventually become the individuals that are needed in each others lives.
DeNiro and Hathaway are both pretty solid here and pretty much carry the film as you'd expect. I guess the one issue I had with the film was that the last 35 to 40 minutes kind of caught me off guard. Regardless, The Intern was a decent Sunday afternoon watch.
