I don't know how you would classify The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Is it a reboot? Is it a remake? Whatever it is, it takes place inn present day Texarkana. I have never seen the original, but the film does a clever job of sprinkling in parts of the 1976 film into this one. Without giving too much away, Jami is chosen as the individual to speak for the killer in this film. He seems to want the town to atone for something that took place back in 1946. Those unsolved murders actually did happen which does add a bit of creepy factor to it. However, with some interesting parts that make the film worthy, there are just too many dumb parts to ignore. I wish it could have been tightened up, because this could have been a better than average horror flick.
