Review from the comment
A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night is one of those art house movies that just don't move me. Its shot gorgeously in black and white with director Ana Lily Amirpour giving a clinic on how to utilize lighting to an autuer's advantage. But outside of that, its a blistering slow affair about a well-intentioned man moved to do bad things and his new relationship with a vampire he chances upon late one night.
This is definitely a movie that is more about atmosphere and mood and ambiguous motives and while I am well aware there is an audience for this, I do not put myself into that category. I will add that the music is fantastic. So there is also that.
