War in Abkhazia, 1992. An Estonian man Ivo has stayed behind to harvest his crops of tangerines. In a bloody conflict at his door, a wounded man is left behind, and Ivo is forced to take him in.

Tangerines, a very tasty fruit
Tangerines was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the 2015 Oscars. I can see why. This film, from Estonia, packed a lot of emotional depth in its 1 hour and 27 minute run time. Tangerines is a nice compact piece of cinema, with solid character development and a look at part of the world that many more should know about.
