New World takes a bit to build but once it gets its legs, it conveys just how good our Korean brothers are getting at putting together crime flicks. The story isn't a novel one: an undercover cop has gotten in so deep with his crime family cohorts that it is becoming increasingly hard for him to stay focused on his task at hand. Combine that with a handler that keeps prodding the troubled agent to submerge himself deeper into the lie he has built along with an emerging power struggle among the syndicate he has joined, and you end up with a powder keg waiting to explode.
