For a movie that is full of pretty solid talent, Rampart is one of those films that ticks you off. You have high hopes when a cast like this gets assembled, but then it is ruined by a rotten script, pacing that sucks and something that is just all over the place. Harrelson is fine as the terrible human being with a badge, Dave Brown. The supporting cast is good as well. Rampart is just one of those films that doesn't get any help from the man in the chair. In this case it's Oren Moverman. Hopefully, the next time out, he puts together something a little more worthy.
