Let's not bullshit, this is a silly movie but it's a fun silly movie and has a lot of cool shit in it. Mamoa does fine as the Arnold replacement but it's really Lang and McGowan who shine as the baddies here. There are so many holes in the narrative you could make ten golf courses of out of them but in the end, what are the expectations walking in? This feels like a throwback to, well Conan movies and Beastmasters and it's just fine if you want some dumb entertainment for the evening. We need better written movies in this style.
