The Debt is a fine example as to how a bad ending can ruin an otherwise good movie. Three Jewish spies who helped bring down a notorious Nazi killer have carried a secret with them for many years. The movie spends most of the first two acts in flashback mode, telling the story of how they brought down the war criminal. This is where it excels. The suspense is thick and the chase for the killer is exciting and intense. But as it makes the corner for the finish line and the audience learns the secret that the (now former) spies have been keeping, events transpire that are just downright stupid. Talk about a third act that is an epic fail.
