The Lovely Bones
Peter Jackson is a bit excessive with the visuals of the "purgatory" world. The film's pacing is very patient and meticulous. We do get a sense of the loss of a family member and how it affects the family. Fortunately, the film doesn't have a grand revenge scheme that would have distracted from its emotional impact.
