Review from the comment
Couples in distress in horror films are nothing new. Neither is anything in Eden Lake. Michael Fassbender and Kelly Reilly play vacationing Brits off for a weekend of camping at a lake in the forest. They are accosted by some young thugs and in a confrontation with them, end up accidently killing the leader’s dog. Afterwards they are chased and tortured and chased again and it all is very boring and cliché. There is nothing interesting about the plot. There is nothing exciting about the gore. Eden Lake pretty much excels at nothing. Wanna watch a better film with the same premise? Try out Ils.
