A Forgotten Favorite
I think perhaps I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this film until I'd watched it again this evening. The story of Peter Pan - the boy who never grew up - is one that lives in the memory of every person who watched Disney as a child. In recent years the story has been retold through live action and with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.
A moving story about Peter Pan creator, JM Barrie, shakes the soul, and in the words of the 2003 live action film of Peter, you do believe in faeries at the end. And what could be more magical than that? No person alive has never, not believed in the power of faeries because of JM Barrie's play.
Honestly, nothing could be better, than a moment of believing in magic and faeries. It keeps you young and free. After all, who never said they never wanted to grow up as a child?
