A positive suprise
The Majestic is a movie about a small american town and it's people that have suffered and lost almost everything in the second World War, especially their hope of a better tomorrow. Until the appearance of one of their long lost sons. With his father he begins to renovate the Majestic, townships only movietheater and miraculously that brings life back to the whole town.
That's basically the gist of the movie but there are some twists and turns on the way before the ending. Acting is almost impeccable, the story is most captivating and the overall feel of the movie really takes you back into the early 50's. This movie truly has that special something.
