A Story About a Boy Who Had Nothing But Gave Everything
With it's 3+ hours of runtime, Titanic is not a movie I'd watch very spontaneously. The other day though, it happened to be on TV while I was doing some work on our couch, and I ended up more or less watching it for, I think, the 3rd time in my life.
To summarize it, this movie is grand. But you already know that, because you have seen it too :) Anyway, here's my topmost thoughts of it (this time):
The ship is like a world of it's own. I enjoyed the numerous sceneries, from the luxurious to the dirty. There was definitively enough space for this huge film.
In my opinion, Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role of a boy who had nothing - but gave everything - very well. Watching Jack Dawson, with most odds against him, thrive and get the girl made me wonder who I am (and want to be) more alike: him or the rich people at the dinner table.
And finally, I'm not Celine Dion's biggest fan, but "My Heart Will Go On" was a perfect match for this one.
