I'm going to be straight up about one of Cronenberg's early efforts. Made in 1979, it doesn't hold up well, and honestly, isn't really that good.
A man struggles to raise his daughter amid a rash of murders that plague the family. He believes that a psychologist's unconventional methods with his cult like followers have something to do with it. Adding to that, a group of mutant children hinder his efforts.
Sound interesting to you? Feel free to view it. I personally wasn't a fan. The talked about ending is a bit bizarre, but does that warrant sitting through 90 minutes to get there? You'll have to judge that for yourself.
