Newcome director Colin Trevorrow somehow impressed Steven Spielberg enough to be given the keys to a billion dollar franchise and he doesn't let his boss down. Jurrassic World borrows heavily from the originals and surprisingly Aliens but those nods aside, Trevorrow creates an extremely fun romp that has me curious as to what's next. Pratt proves his spot in Guardians of the Galaxy was no one time deal and that he has no issue playing point man in a blockbuster. If there are any doubts that he is the next big action hero, put them aside now. Its been awhile since we had one.

Let's face it everyone, Jurassic World is about going back to the big screen to see the dinosaurs. Yes, the current IT man Chris Pratt stars. Yes, it has cutie Bryce Dallas Howard. Yes, it even has Vincent D' Onofrio. The man is riding a giant tidal wave of resurgence right now. With all that though, they dwarf in comparison to the Velociraptors, the Gallimimus, the Stegosaurus and the new Indominus Rex.
The plot is pretty basic. But to go and see the big boys on the movie screen is what makes it all worth it. A fun, summer popcorn flick pure and simple.
