I'm not a big fan of country music, but my dad is so I was interested to see if I could recommend this film for him. And I'd say I can. As a country fan's daughter I've had to listen to a lot of country music so I actually enjoyed the music too. I remember my father was almost offended when my sister's boyfriend confessed that he didn't know who Johnny Cash was. He should have watched this film before talking with my dad and he would have made an impression. The film was quite descriptive, I'd say.
Reese Witherspoon was just amazing in this one and proved that her legally blond days are in the past. Joaquin Phoenix did also a splendid job! The plot was very captivating and the story touching in many ways.
